Timetabler/planner

The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is an international school in Amsterdam with two campuses (South and SouthEast). At our core, we value collaboration, adaptability, and continuous self-development within a supportive environment.

For the upcoming school year 2026-2027 we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Timetabler/Planner to support cross campus.

As a Timetabler at AICS, you ensure that teachers can deliver their lessons effectively and that students know where and when they are expected, playing an important role in the daily running of the school. The role goes beyond creating schedules, requiring strong planning and organisational skills to develop balanced and practical timetables that support both students and teachers. With a flexible and solution-focused approach, you collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively, and use your understanding of the school environment to contribute to a smooth and well-organised educational process at AICS.

AICS offers a temporary contract with the option of a permanent contract in the future. 

Pay scale 8 (min. €3.022,- max. €4.449,- full-time per month, before tax).

We are looking for a team member who:

  • Is highly skilled in planning and organisation, and able to create and manage school timetables, daily cover, exam schedules, and activity schedules
  • Is strong in communication, able to advise leadership, share clear and timely information with stakeholders, and ensure deadlines and procedures are followed
  • Enjoys problem-solving and analytical thinking, able to find creative solutions to timetabling and identify and resolve scheduling issues
  • Is strong in collaboration, able to work effectively within a small team and with a wide range of stakeholders across the school
  • Understands (or is eager to learn) the daily activities of a school and enjoys translating them into efficient solutions that work for students and staff

Role requirements:

  • Able to start work daily at 06:30, flexible to work at either one of our campuses depending on the need
  • Experience in planning organisation/logistics and planning or logistics
  • Experience working with (planning) systems. Familiarity with a Scheduling/timetabling system like Zermelo or Untis is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and ability to function well within a team
  • Flexible and resilient mindset
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and a good command of Dutch;

About the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS)
The AICS is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School. Our vision statement is to be a community where learning is at the heart of everything we do. The mission of the AICS is to facilitate high quality, accessible, community-based international learning for students of all nationalities living in The Netherlands.

The AICS was the first school in the Netherlands to offer the full IB continuum (IB PYP, MYP, DP, and CP). Together with a number of other national Dutch schools we form the ‘Esprit Scholen’. 

The AICS is a partly-state-funded community school, which enables us to deliver high-quality education at competitive fees. The AICS is a fully-accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and offers international education to internationally-mobile students from over 70 different nationalities. 

The AICS currently offers Primary education to students aged 4-11 and Secondary education to students aged 11-19. The main language of instruction for classes is English. The AICS is located in two campuses, both in the city of Amsterdam: AICS South and AICS South East.
